Ketut made the call to head over to Keramas for some pristine, uncrowded conditions. With the Padang Padang Rip Curl Cup slated to run today, but the wind not really playing ball, Keramas was the spot to be where 10 or so surfers scored 5-6ft clean conditions. These photos were shot between 7am and 10am.
The Rip Curl Cup made a late start and has finished with some challenging conditions – but some amazing surfing nonetheless. Noa Deane has taken out the mens event and Moana Jones Wong taking out the first womens crown. You can see round 1 highlights here, and a report/photos on the finals here.
Right now at about 7:00pm it is 28 degrees with some scattered clouds, humidity at 69%, and a light breeze from the South East at 11kph. The surf forecast has the swell easing off slightly from today – but really its going to be a great week of waves right through into the weekend. Maybe the crowds will ease if the pro’s all get on a plane ;)
If you are heading over don’t forget to drop us a line about surf trips or accommodation! Ketut has been scooting a few guests around to the pick of the spots :)
Thanks again for all your continued support and messages, it’s great to see some donations continuing to come through. You can continue to support Slims family via the Gofundme page.
