22nd June 2025
Yesterdays run to Balangan turned up some fun surf on offer with wave height in the 4-5ft range and nice conditions across the board. Ketut was on the scene from 9am through 11am, capturing a small crew of just 10 surfers spread across the reef. With the wind blowing offshore and the tide drawing out, the lines were holding up nicely for those who made the effort. It’s the kind of day where the waves do all the talking, and the crowd lets you enjoy it.
Weather & Tides
At midday in Bali we’re sitting on 28°C with overcast skies and a stiff southeasterly wind around 19 km/h, holding steady through the afternoon. There’s some light rain expected from around 1pm onwards but nothing too dramatic. Tomorrow is shaping up similar, warm and humid with a possible afternoon shower or two, so keep the poncho handy if you’re on the bike.
For tides today at Benoa, we had a high tide at 7:41am (2.4m) followed by a low tide at 2:42pm (0.4m). Tomorrow’s high is at 8:38am (2.5m) so early morning sessions will again be in that pushing tide window, ideal for most spots on the Bukit.
Surf Forecast
The swell is hanging in the 2-2.3m range today, mostly out of the SSW with a 15s period this morning tapering to 14s later. Conditions remain solid tomorrow with wave heights hovering around 1.8m in the morning and some new energy pulsing by the evening. Winds are ESE to SE, 25-30km/h, and staying offshore for the west coast all week. Expect similar size for the next couple of days before a bit of a fade late week.
