It was a damp and cloudy start down at Balangan this morning. After a solid overnight downpour, conditions were still soggy with plenty of cloud hanging about when we arrived. The waves were a mellow 2ft on the sets, with a few lined-up walls for the early risers. Wind was offshore and grooming things nicely with the tide dropping through the morning. From 7:30 until 10am Ketut was on the sand capturing the action, mostly surf school crews and beginners flooding the lineup.
Weather & Tides
Right now it’s sitting on 29°C and partly sunny, feels like 34°C with humidity at 75%. Wind is blowing at 20 km/h from the southeast. The outlook is for scattered showers through the afternoon with temps hanging around 28°C into the evening.
This morning saw a high tide at 7:10am (2.0m) and the low is right now at 2:30pm (0.7m).
Surf Forecast
Looking at the swell forecast, today’s smaller waves should build over the coming days. Wednesday and Thursday are looking especially promising, with swell peaking around the 2.5m mark on Wednesday afternoon. The swell will hang around into the weekend, with the winds remaining favourable, mostly light offshore conditions through the mornings with moderate ESE breezes.
