Canggu Surf Report – Wednesday 1st April 2026
Ketut was down at Canggu this morning and found it running in decent shape. Waves were sitting in the 1-3ft range with a light offshore breeze keeping the faces clean and the session feeling more than the size suggests. Around 15 surfers were spread through the lineup, a pretty manageable crowd for a Wednesday, and no pros in sight, just the regular crew making the most of what was on offer. The swell direction was coming out of the SSW which generally suits Canggu.
The 10-second period gave the sets enough push to wall up properly, and the cleaner ones were offering a bit of a ride down the line before closing out wide. The offshore wind held throughout and kept things looking good. Crowd stayed manageable all morning with no real scrambles in the lineup. One of those quieter days at Canggu that does pretty well when the swell cooperates.
Weather & Tides
Out there today it was sitting around 29°C with a light SE breeze, comfortable in and out of the water. On the tides, low hit at 4:13pm (-1.0m) and a high is due at 10:24pm (0.8m), so the morning session ran through a mid to rising tide, generally a solid window at Canggu before things back off on the push. Worth noting the tide swings are moderate this week, so the mid-tide windows are stretching out nicely.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead, there’s more in the tank. The period is stretching out over the next couple of days, instruments are showing swell building toward 3-4ft Thursday into Friday with the period rising toward 13 seconds, which should translate into some proper sets for the better breaks along the strip. Check the swell forecast for the full picture on what’s lining up through the weekend and into next week.
