Bali Surf Report – September 30 2007

AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hi crew and thanks for dropping by for the run down on whats been happening surf and weather wise here in Bali today . I did my first surf check of the Outer Reefs at 7.30am and twave height was still showing in the 2-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airports . The tide was coming off the bottom of another 0.1mtr extreme Low tide and the wind was on-shore coming outta the West at 3-7knot . Kuta Reef was breaking in the 2-3ft+ range, Middle Reef was looking the best on the lower end of the tide at 3-4ft and Airports was looking like it might be worth a paddle when the tide pushed in @ 3-4ft . So it was back to Home Base for some breakfast with the guests and plan out our attack. We ended up opting for a paddle out at Airport Left and when we jumped off the boat there was only another 4 surfers out there. Then 30 mins later we had it to ourselves . I’d have to say that wave height boosted while the tide was pushing in and every now and then there’d be a few double head high set waves coming through. Even though the wind was on-shore the wave face was still pretty clean and even better that we had it all to ourselves. I’m not sure what the swell situation is like over on the East Coast but there woulda have to have been a few locations over there that woulda had some clean waves to choose from. Weather wise today it’s been a hot day around the beach and right now at 4.30pm the temperature outside would still have to around 28-30 degree’s Celsius . What I have done for ya’s is loaded up a few more photos from down at Uluwatu yesterday. Plus another 50 or so photos into the September Surfing Gallery . Sorry I still haven’t had time to check out Dewa’s video footage from Uluwatu yet, maybe tonight If I get a chance. Hopefully the on-shore wind we have been copping the last few days won’t last for too many more and we’ll get another burst of ESE-SE off-shore Tradewind back along Bali ’s West Coast.
