Bali Surf Report – October 8 2007

**** G’day folks and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for another week of Bali surf and weather info . Well not a bad weekend of waves went down for the lucky people over here on the holiday island. I shot these current photos down at Uluwatu yesterday morning but was to tired to type up the surf report to go with em sorry. As ya’s can see there were a few good ones steaming down the racetrack section . This morning I went down for a surf recon of the Outer Reefs at 6.30am to find a slight increase in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports . The tide was still rolling in for a 1.8mtr High and the wind light off-shore coming cleanly off-shore outta the ESE @ 3-6knot . Kuta Reef had some clean little 3 footers peeling off for a good 80yrds and that’s were me and the crew from here at Home Base were surfing at. Middle Reef was pushing 4 foot on the set waves (a couple of feet over head). Airport Left was also looking pretty good in the 2-3ft+ range. There were surfers out on all sections of the Outers and plenty of waves coming through for all. Weather wise outside it’s perfect beach weather, right now at 11.00am the temperature would be around the 30 degree Celsius mark, and the water temp is also perfect for board shorts and bikini’s at 23-24 degree’s Celsius. Surfwise down on the southern end of the island I’m sure there woulda been some nice little waves happening at Balangan in the 2-4ft range. And Uluwatu woulda been picking up the lions share of the swell at 3-4ft+. Yeaterday we had Dewa Made take the video camera up to the beach breaks of Half Way Kuta where Ripcurl Indonesia were holding a surfing contest. So later today I’ll edit ya’s a couple of video clips of the action that was going down. Ok that’s us for now but we’ll be back out there again tomorrow to get ya’s more photos and surf info from here in Bali .
