**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Goood Mooorning surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for the run down on todays surfing and weather conditions around Bali today . Ok so it’s just gone 7.30am over here and I’ve just got back from doing my surf recon of the Outer Reefs of Tuban . And it appears wave height has bounced back ever so slightly with 1-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The tide is still running out and should be bottoming out around mid morning with the wind pretty well non existent, for now. If anything it’s coming lightly outta the NW . So surfing conditions are once again clean and glassy on both sides of the island , for now.
There’s not enough water over the reef at Kuta Reef or quite enough swell either, only showing in the 1-2ft range. Pretty much the same scenario down the other end of the reef at Airport Lefts but AL should have a few waist to head high waves when the tide starts to roll back in. Middle Reef on the other hand has got a few head high waves peeling off and is quite surfable right now. But there wasn’t any surfers in sight just my crusty old fishing mates cleaning their cray fish nets. I’m pretty busy today taking care of things around here but I’ll be sending Dewa Made out with his video camera to try and get ya’s a bit of new footage to look at a bit later on.
Weather wise it was over cast when I was down on the beach and I wasn’t back at Home Base not 5 minutes and it started to rain. But you can count on it turning out to be just another hot and humid day around the beaches by midday.
Swell Prediction : Well unfortunately there’s still nothing but big High Pressure Cells dominating the Indian Ocean so we are going to be in for another week of small but fun sized waves from waist to head high plus at best.
