**** MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew and thanks for dropping bye for the latest surf and weather info outta Bali. We’ll it’s been one of those days for us today. First up I was up at 4.00am this morning tying the boards on the rental with plans of heading back up the coast. We made it as far as legian before we noticed the wind was howling outta the West and on-shore. So back to Home Base. Then the rain started around half an hour later, and the wind dropped off….lol.
Anyway I did take a look at the Outer Reefs here in Tuban around 7.00am and the wind was still coming outta the West @ 3-6knot . There seems to have been the slightest increase in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports , but still pretty small in the 1-2ft+ class. Low Tide was at 1.3mtrs around 12.00noon and the next High Tide is gunna happen around 6.00pm @ 1.9mtrs.
I got Dewa Made to drive the boys and girls staying here at HB over to Serangan and they have since sent me back an sms. Wave height at Serangan was breaking cleanly in the 2-3ft+ range with the wind blowing cross/off-shore outta the WSW . And get this, there were only 15 surfers in the water instead of the usual 115. Sorry I won’t have any new photos for ya’s today but hopefully tomorrow I’ll be back in action again.
Weather wise today the rain started around 5.00am and has only just stopped falling now at 1.30pm. The sky is still pretty cloudy but there is the odd patch of blue starting to show, I’ll check out the weather and swell charts for ya’s later on today and give ya’s a fresh update on that stuff shortly.
