**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and thanks for calling in for the run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali . Ok and my 6.15am surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing a considerable drop off in wave size between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . But still there were a few little ones peeling of on Middle Reef and Airport left in the waist to shoulder high plus range .
Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind coming lightly outta the NNE @ 2-5knot and almost straight off-shore. If todays wind situation is gunna be anything like it was yesterday we can expect it to vary all over the shop. Before making up it’s mind what it eels like doing. Tide wise we have a Low of 1.2mtrs @ 11.00am and then running in for a 1.8mtr High @ 6.00pm.
So really there’s not a lot of action happening on the Outer Reefs this morning but there are few smallies to help relieve any long flight tensions . Uluwatu would be one of the better options for a surf this morning here along the West Coast . And over on the East Coast I’d be heading for Keramas . But we really don’t have long to wait before the next swell graces our reefs and beachs. Anytime in the next 24-36hrs should be all it takes to see wave height jump back into the semi to solid range.
Weather wise on the weather scale we’ll give her a 7.5 outta 10, another beautiful morning with blue sky and sunshine. But we will more than likely see some cloud move across by early to mid afternoon. Temperature wise we can expect to feel the mercury push up into the high twenties to early thirties on the Celsius scale. While the water temperature is perfect for boardshorts at 23-24 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp8,550 and 1US$=Rp9,125.
Another thing I couldn’t help but notice while I was on the beach, was the increased amount of beach front damage that’s happened at the Pantai Restaurant / Ma Jolley and Bali Bintang Ramada Hotels . You can see the photos I took of the destruction in the KUTA CAM GALLERY .
( Next visit to the school will be on the 19th of March ) Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School ! We are making some real progress with the objectives we made, so make sure you check out our progress at the school via the “SCHOOL PROJECT” page over on the menue bar .
