**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello to everyone tuning into the baliwaves.com daily Bali surf and sweather report this fine looking Tuesday morning. Well fine weather wis e anyway. First up as ya’s can see we were down on location at Uluwatu yesterday and it was producing the goods and was the place to be. And I think just about everyone here on holidays was in fact down there.
Wave height was a solid 4ft-4ft+ on the Main Peak and maybe even a few bigger one’s brea king down at Temple’s and also down right under the Uluwatu” “Temple” itself. We hung out down at Uluwatu till around 12 noon and by then the number of the surfers spread over the 3 main surfing sections had grown to 80. But there were plenty of waves and the wind clean off-shore outta the E-ESE @ 6-10knot . I thought I’d duck down for a cool off swim at 5.00pm down in front of Kuta Reef and by then it was absolutely fla t between KR and Airport Left.
This mornings 6.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs is looking pretty much the same with only just half to one footers brea king onto the reef without any purpose at all. The first of our tides today is going to be a 1.2mtr Low around 11.00am and then we’ll get a 1.7mtr High around 5.00pm. Being in the middle of the moon phase there isn’t much tidal range between the high and low. Wind direction was only coming lightly outta the East @ 1-2knot and clean off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu.
Looking for a wave this morning your gunna be hard pressed to find anything special. But the best places to look would be at Uluwatu here on the West Coast, and maybe over at Nusa Dua or Keramas on the East Coas t before the Tradewind kicks in.
Speaking of Keramas Quicksilver Indonesia will be running a contest there with the waiting period starting on the 17th of this month . So if your going to be here in Bali get up to Keramas to see the hottest surfers in Ind onesia doing their stuff. And if your not don’t worry because we’ll be on the scene to shoot video of the contest for ya’s to view here on the baliwaves.com
Make sure you take a look at the photos and reports that have been sent in from the Mentawai islands (Kandui Surf Resort) and from Australia ’s North” “Coast” (Readers Report)
Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa ; No news in from our man on the scene at this point in time
Weather wise today nothing but clear blue sky and sunshine for the beach lovers here on holidays. We can expect the mercury to punch into the low 30’s on the Celsius scale while the water temp is a very pleasant 24 degree’s Celsius.
For the surfer / fisherman out there, and isn’t there a little bit of fisherman in all of us ? Well you guys can take a look at the freshly up dated fishing report and photos from the last couple of days sport fishing here in Bali .
