**** MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and thanks for tuning in for the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report coming to ya’s live from your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well there’s still plenty of waves out there again today, My surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height brea king in the 2-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The first of our tides is a 2.6mtr High @ 10.30am and then we’ll have another dry reef exposing 0.1mtr Low towards 5.00pm . Wind direction is coming outta the ESE @ 4-8knot . Finally settling down from the last week or so of howling 15-20knot Tradewind.
Kuta Reef was peeling off nicely in the chest to head high range, wrapping down the reef for a good 70yrds+. But there was quite a few surfers out there as the tide was pushing in.
Middle Reef was holding some solid haed to head high plus waves with the odd freak set almost going double head high.
Airport Lefts wasn’t picking up as much swell at KR and only brea king in the waist to shoulder high plus class. And by the look of the number of reef boats parked in the channel next to Airports I’d say there woulda had to have been at least 20+ surfers on it.
Uluwatu would still be brea king in the 4-6ft double head high plus and be the best option for the more *experienced surfers*.
Balangan would have been brea king solidly in the head to head high plus range. And later this afternoon as the tide drops out locations like Middle Reef, Bingin and Impossible’s will all be in their element.
But sorry crew all the team here at baliwaves.com have got motor bike maintainance happening today so we won’t have any new photos for ya’s until tomorrow . But check out the Macaroni’s Surf Report page cause the boys have sent us through some new photos from the Mentawai Island s of Ind onesia .
Weather wise out there today it’s perfect with blue sky, sunshine, light off-shore wind, warm water and waves at just about every location around Bali .
Swell forecast (31st May – 7th June) after checking out as much information as I can from the swell prediction guys it looks like we are gunna be in more small waves again through Monday. Then sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon we will score a new swell outta the SW and wave height should go back into the 4-6ft+ range on the open Southern facing locations. This system should provide waves through till Thursday before backing off into the 2-4ft class. Then sometime around Saturday another smaller system will come through and push wave height back into the 3-4ft+ range. So all in all it’s gunna be a good week of waves for the crew over here in Bali / Ind onesia .
Mentawai islands ; The good guys from the Kandui Surf Resort have sent us through another new batch of photos showing off more perfection in their part of Ind o. And you’ll be able to suss them out in the Surf Report section. Here’s another baliwaves bonus for ya’s dept; Anyday now we’ll also be providing ya’s with surf reports and photos from the Macaronis Surf Resort up in the Mentawai’s. I was talking to a couple of friends yesterday who have been out on charter in the Ments and they reckon if they ever make it back up there again they won’t be going on a boat after stopping off in the Surf Resorts. That’s where they’ll be heading. The Surf Resorts up there just make it all too easy for their guests with speed boats to zap you around all day and then back to the Resort for R & R in the evenings.
G-Land ; I had a pnone call from G-Land this morning and Raymond said to tell you guys and girls that he’ll give you 15% discount off the published price . Just click on his G-Land banner over in our banner advertisement section and drop him an email.
