**** EVENING SURF UP-DATE **** Hi crew and yeah I’m a bit late but ya sometimes get that on Saturday afternoons. Anyway wave height here on the Outer reefs and everywhere else for that matter I suppose has been slowly dropping off and it looks like we’ll be in for a return to smaller surfing conditions for Sunday . But don’t worry none cause we’ll keep ya posted with the latest news on surf and weather right here in Bali .
Anyway as ya’s can see Scotto has delivered the good for us once again . So check out the photos and here’s what Scott had to say on surfing conditions at Balangan today. “A little bit of a delema for me this morning. when I was checking the outer reefs the sets were pushing 3-4ft which means my favourite spot to shoot is a 50/50 chance of not being to good with the current tide times. So looking to find another destination I set off to bring home the best daily info your going to get.
I headed south and turned off the main road once I felt the time was right. Today as you can see in these latest photos I found a few nice waves. The crowd was a pleasing 5 or 6 on arrival and peaked at around 25. I hung around for around three hours and watched the waves keep rolling in. Everyone was getting waves, and earlier it was perfect glass with little to no wind. Waves were coming in at around the waist to head high and sometimes into the plus range.
OK so once again Bali has delivered and the new swell has started to show itself. Ok so I hope these photos get you excited about surfing in Bali . Till next time. Scottoâ€
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello crew and welcome back to your baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report, the one and only daily Bali surf report on the net. Ok and just like I wrote in our swell forecast last week we do have a new swell gracing our reefs and more perfect waves for the lucky surfers on vacation in Bali .
My 6.00am surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing some super clean waves in the 2-4ft+ range brea king between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The first of our tides today is a 0.7mtr Low @ 7.00am , then followed up with a 2.5mtr High around midday . Then to finish off the day we’ll have another reef exposing 0.2mtr Low for the sunset . Wind direction was coming lightly off-shore outta the East @ 2-4knot but will more than likely swing more to the ESE and increase in strength as the Tradewind winds up around mid morning.
Kuta Reef was showing good form at day brea k and as the tide starts to move back in is gunna be producing some real nice fun sized waves in the shoulder to head high plus range. But there were already half a dozen surfers in the line-up by 6.30am.
Middle Reef had the best waves with the morning low tide, wave height was easily 4ftt (a few feet over head) and plenty of waves rolling through with each set. Likewise there woulda easily have been 10 surfers already out there.
Airport Left was still a touch low like Kuta Reef and will be brea king nicel;y in the shoulder to head high plus range as the tide makes it’s run in.
Airport Right , if the wind holds off for another hour or two should have a few sly waves around there in the chest to head high plus range.
Uluwatu would be smoking this morning and picking up the lions share of this new swell. You could expect wave height to easily be pushing the double head high range and would be the place to be for the more experienced surfers.
Scotto is also back out on location and I’m pretty sure he’s gunna be heading south down to the bukit region of Bali . And I’m also pretty sure that he’s gunna be bringing us some photos of a different location and not Uluwatu. So make sure ya’s drop by this afternoon to check out Scotto’s afternoon wrap up and new photos.
Weather wise , well what else can I say other than you’d be crazy to wanna go on holiday anywhere else other than Bali . Blue sky, warm water, off-shore wind and swell.
Ok so don’t forget to call back later on for more surf info and photos live outta Bali . Plus I still have more video footage to edit up for ya’s and I’ll get onto that very shortly. And just a reminder that we still have some baliwaves.com T-Shirts and stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
Swell forecast (31st May – 7th June) after checking out as much information as I can from the swell prediction guys it looks like we are gunna be in more small waves again through Monday. Then sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon we will score a new swell outta the SW and wave height should go back into the 4-6ft+ range on the open Southern facing locations. This system should provide waves through till Thursday before backing off into the 2-4ft class. Then sometime around Saturday another smaller system will come through and push wave height back into the 3-4ft+ range. So all in all it’s gunna be a good week of waves for the crew over here in Bali / Ind onesia .
Mentawai islands ; The good guys from the Kandui Surf Resort have sent us through another new batch of photos showing off more perfection in their part of Ind o. And you’ll be able to suss them out in the Surf Report section. Here’s another baliwaves bonus for ya’s dept; Anyday now we’ll also be providing ya’s with surf reports and photos from the Macaronis Surf Resort up in the Mentawai’s. I was talking to a couple of friends yesterday who have been out on charter in the Ments and they reckon if they ever make it back up there again they won’t be going on a boat after stopping off in the Surf Resorts. That’s where they’ll be heading. The Surf Resorts up there just make it all too easy for their guests with speed boats to zap you around all day and then back to the Resort for R & R in the evenings.
G-Land ; I had a pnone call from G-Land this morning and Raymond said to tell you guys and girls that he’ll give you 15% discount off the published price . Just click on his G-Land banner over in our banner advertisement section and drop him an email.
