BALI / INDONESIA
17th – 18th May 2016
Hello everyone and thanks big time for stopping by the baliwaves (Keeping it real since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible news on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok friends here we go again with another massive 100+ photos that we have shot on both of Bali’s surfing coastlines. The bulk of the gallery was shot down at Bingin yesterday afternoon on the lower end of the tide. Ketut has down another top job shooting into the setting sun and back lit waves. Any photographer will know it’s hard work, especially if your shooting in manual.
This gallery has just been loaded up in the order the photos were shot, I didn’t have enough time to pick and choose sorry. That’s what happens when the swell hit’s in Bali it’s a sheer pleasure having perfect waves going off everywhere, but it also gets a little crazy trying to get it all edited and loaded up on line :-) and keeping relevant, instead of old news.
As it shows in the photos Bingin was pumping and once again we were luck to find a good crew of our local surfers out here shredding it up. Not to mention some super deep tube rides all round.
The second part of today’s photos were shot over on the East Coast around 8.30AM this morning. Once again shooting into the rising sun, the opposite of yesterday but Ketut has down a stellar job and delivered the goods. Wave height had backed off a touch again today but Keramas was still delivering some solid 4 footers and there may have even been a double head high wave or two slip through as well.
Not to mention our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban that was showing wave height to be in the 3-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were near perfect with a light off shore wind. Once again some solid crowds flocking to Kuta reef and Airports.
Weather wise we have had another cracker of a day with loads of blue sky. Right now at 3.30PM the mercury is sitting on 34 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 78%. Wind direction out of the ESE @ 8-12knot.
Ok tomorrow looks like wave height settling down a little bit more again so stay tuned to the baliwaves for more up dates and info through out the day. Hopefully I’ll get time to get a few waves myself bahahahaha.
