BALI / INDONESIA
28th – 29th September 2016
Hi surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the penthouse views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok sorry I didn’t get these photos up for you yesterday but you know how it is I’m sure. Up early in the morning, surfing in the tropical sun for hours then going home for a super sized lunch and saying… damn it or something like that and just chilling out for the rest of the day. Well yesterday it was my turn.
Anyway yesterday the 28th and we did end up scoring some very fun waves over on the East side of the island. Wave height was in the chest to well over head high class and with a crowd ranging between 25 then down to 15 and an 70% friendly vibe in the water which has gotta be good. Surfing conditions as it shows were clean and glassy for most of the morning and when the wind did change it was only a light on shore breeze.
Weather wise it was hot and humid over on the black sand beach, perfect for board shorts and bikini’s with the midday temperature peaking at 32 Celsius.
Today the 29th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing 2-3ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still running in at the time and the wind a light NNE.
Our man Ketut has phoned through from where he this morning somewhere here along Bali’s West coast calling 2-4ft waves with a light off shore wind. We’ll back that up for ya’s with some photos.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.3mtr Low around 3.15pm and we are not far off a New Moon rising so get ready for some big tidal differences. It also looks like on the 2nd through till the 4th we should also be feeling some solid swell coinciding so get ready for that. Then a little further out around the 6th we should get another pulse. With plenty of fun waves as well to be found if you know when and where to find them of course.
