****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE**** Howdy folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for your daily surf and weather report. Well when I did my long range swell forecast early in the week I was kinda thinking we mighta had another pulse in wave height today. But not too be, looks like I’m a day out and hopefully come tomorrow we should see a bit more swell on the Reef breaks around Bali.
Not much at all happening on the Outer Reefs this morning with only Middle Reef providing a few small waves in the waist to shoulder high plus range. The first of our tides today was a 0.6mtr Low @ 9.00am and then we had a 1.7mtr High @ 3.00pm. The ESE-SE off-shore Tradewind has been working hard all day with gusts upto 18knots.
Scotto was on the trail for us today and waited for the High Tide before heading up to Padma St / Legian beach. As the beach breaks are pretty lame before the tide fills in, then they start producing the goods. Here’s what Scott had to say about the waves / scene at Padma St today. I also loaded ya’s up another new Video Clip and that should be visible on the site later tonight.
Padma St / Legian beach; Today When I checked the outer reefs there was only a few head high waves hitting middles so the swell is pretty small. With that in mind I decieded to have a quiet one till the tide came in about 2-3pm then head up to Padma Street.
On arrival there was about 30+ guys sitting on the right getting some nice little waves in the 1-2ft+ range. Ocassionally there may have been a slightly bigger one. I was only there about 15minutes when the photographers and videographers started to appear from everywhere. Something was going down, and sure enough within a minute the King had arrived in the form of one Mr Kelly Slater. Other notables were of course Rob Machado, Dane Reynolds and Taj Burrow. It turned into a whos who down on the beach, as there was a few other names making an appearance.
OK so that was what went down on Padma St this afternoon, with the Pro’s putting on a show in the middle of town. You could see they were just enjoying some down time, before moving to the next comp. Sitting on the beach and taking in this awesome weather we are having on this beautiful island of the gods, Bali. Till next time. Scott.

Swell Forecast ; Well just for a quick summary I see it as getting a small boost in wave height on Tuesday and backing back off a touch Wednesday. Then sometime around Thursday we get a better looking swell producing system hitting the island of Bali. Then further out again Saturday see’s another swell filling in for the weekend.
