Kandui Surf Resort Oct 31st surf report
Surprise, surprise! We woke up this morning to bigger surf and a completely glassy ocean. There were some nice waves a 4 Bob, but we passed it up to go look at Pistols. But then we saw a nice set at Rifles and we were on it. It was super glassy out there with the occasional overhead set and no one was out. We surfed for a couple of hours and got some good ones. The tide went out and we headed for Pistols. It was a few feet overhead there and on one was out as well. We paddled and towed into a few and got some surprisingly good waves. Finally, when we couldn’t paddle anymore, we headed back for some lunch. After some food and a surf flick, we were back out there. The winds had come up out of the southwest, and 4 Bobs was looking good. Again, no one was out and it was just us in shoulder high plus, fun surf with perfect conditions. Super fun. We are probably looking at similar sized surf tomorrow.
Oct 30th surf report
Our moderate southeast winds were still blowing this morning. I was looking pretty
small out front. The boys choose fishing ahead of surfing and they got a nice JT
for their effort. After lunch, the winds died and things were looking pretty glassy
out front. Our crew decided on surfing John Candy’s. It had some shifty, head high plus peaks rolling in and no one else was around. It was a nice way to end the day. We are probably looking at dropping surf tomorrow.
