****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hello friends of Bali and thanks for taking the time out for a look at whats been happening surf and weather wise here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Yes your right, yesterday we made the afternoon run back over to Serangan on the East Coast and with the dropping swell it was probably the best place to find a semi decent wave on the island. Surfing conditions were clean enough with the wind blowing 99% off-shore out of the W-WSW upto 10knot. Crowd wise when we arrived at 2.00Pm there would have been close to 70 surfers in the water but nice and spread out. There was in fact plenty of hot talent both in the water and on the beach. I’ll try and load some “scenery photos” into the Kuta Cam for a perv later on. That’s if the boys here at Home Base don’t want to go chasing waves again.
This morning and it’s another rainy start to the day. Wave height has become even smaller here on the Outer Reefs (Kuta Reef to Airport Left) and is only just showing in the 1ft class at best. So my guess would be to expect a slight drop in size over on the East Coast as well.
Wind direction is coming strong out of the West @ 8-12knot and we can probably expect it to swing a touch more around to the WSW by midday.
Tide wise we have a 1.9mtr High around 11.30Am and then a 0.7mtr Low @ 5.00Pm
Looking for a wave I’d be inclined to check out Keramas or as a last resort back to Seranagan.
Weather wise , rain rain rain. Heading for a top temperature of around 27 degree’s Celsius.
So that’s us for now but stay tuned and check out the latest Video Clips from Keramas and Scotto has also sent us another Readers report from the Gold Coast and I’ll get that on-line in a bit.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,650 and 1US$=Rp10,750 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.
Other than that little lot, we hope you all have a great day, even if your not here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Don’t forget you can drop us an email through the “Contact” link if you have any questions that might help your next vist to the holiday island run a bit smoother.
