BALI / INDONESIA
30th June – 1st July 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Well as I told ya’s we have so many photos from the RipCurlPadang Padang Cup Trials that we’ll be showing them off to you (in between our usual reports and photos) for a bit longer yet, so we hope your digging it. Yesterday the 30th and I was in a bad way from this Aussie flu I picked up and didn’t get to do too much at all, our man Ketut was also groaning and moaning from it. But we have bounced back a little today, thank God.
This mornings 7.15am surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban had wave height back in the 2-4ft class between Kuta Reef and Airports. The tide was already filling in fast but the wind was light on shore out of the WNW. So with that in mind our man volunteered to make a run over to the East Coast to see what was going down at Keramas. As it turned out wave height was in the 3-5ft range with super clean and glassy surfing conditions. Photos to follow this afternoon.
Weather wise outside today it’s been mostly overcast with the ESE Trade wind kicking in around 9-9.30am. Tomorrow we will have a New moon rising so expect those big tides over the next 3-4 days.
Tomorrows Surf Outlook is calling for slightly smaller waves again with light and variable early morning wind before the Trade wind kicks in around mid morning.
Travel Tip #76251
Please take care and never ever leave any valuables in your car or under your motorbike seat as I’ve heard more reports of thieves plying their trade along some of the more secluded parking areas around Bali.
UP DATE, I have just received another email from a long term Bali surfer who had his motor cycle seat broken into and his phone and cash removed from the Impossible’s area. Sad to hear so make sure if your traveling solo do not bring valuables to the beach and give these bastard work.
You might have also noticed a new sponsor on our home page (just above the surf report photos) a big welcome aboard to our old friends at SURFRESQ. These guys have a new device that will put your broken leg rope back together in seconds and will become a standard part of your surfing kit in the future. Check it out and see for yourself.
