BALI / INDONESIA
2nd – 3rd June 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so like I mentioned in yesterdays surf report we didn’t do too bad and ended up having a top day catching lots of waves and having afew laughs. Here’s a handful of photos that Ketut snapped off while we were out in the water.
Today the 3rd and our 6.15am surf check on the Outer Reefs was already showing plenty of new swell marching down the reef from Middle’s to Kuta Reef in the 4-6ft+ class. The tide was still a touch low first up so we hung out for half an hour before suiting up and jumping in a boat for Kuta reef. Good fresh off shore ESE wind and the tide running in. I didn’t think there was so many surfers in the water until our boat got a little closer and could could count around 40. That’s a bit of a crowd but can be expected when new swell hits and everyone fee’s the bukits larger waves, I have seen a lot more out there over the last 24+ years I’ve been surfing there don’t worry. But even so it was a pretty good crew in the water while we were out and everyone got some waves. Ketut was shooting with the 600mm lens from the boat so I’ll check out those photos and give ya’s a look asap.
Weather wise there was a lot of early morning cloud over us but now at 3.00pm it’s pretty much just blue sky.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is still showing soime good size around with mor of that good old ESE Trade wind providing the off shore.
Travel Tip #76251
Please take care and never ever leave any valuables in your car or under your motorbike seat as I’ve heard more reports of thieves plying their trade along some of the more secluded parking areas around Bali.
UP DATE, I have just received another email from a long term Bali surfer who had his motor cycle seat broken into and his phone and cash removed from the Impossible’s area. Sad to hear so make sure if your traveling solo do not bring valuables to the beach and give these bastard work.
You might have also noticed a new sponsor on our home page (just above the surf report photos) a big welcome aboard to our old friends at SURFRESQ. These guys have a new device that will put your broken leg rope back together in seconds and will become a standard part of your surfing kit in the future. Check it out and see for yourself.
