BALI / INDONESIA
17th – 18th July 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so for starters we are very happy to report that there have been no more Earth Tremors rocking Bali since yesterday morning and fingers crossed lets hope it stays that way. Just out of interest if you check the daily history of Earth Quakes / Tremors in Indonesia you would find them happening multiple times daily right across the archipelago. Well most days anyways.
Surfwise here’s another action packed photo gallery fresh from Bali’s West Coast and the ever popular location of Canggu. Our man was on the scene before the Trade wind kicked in to full strength so conditions were still clean and glassy. Wave height as it shows was at times hitting the double head high or 5ft range. It wasn’t until around 10.30AM that the wind turned cross / on shore.
Today the 18th and our 7.00am surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing wave height breaking in the 2-4ft class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Middle Reef as usual was picking up the bigger set waves and not looking too bad before the tide filled in. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and as good as it gets with light off shore wind.
Our team took a cruise up along Kuta beach this morning reporting waves in the 2-3ft class on the many different banks available along the Kuta to Legian stretch of sand.
Weather wise outside right now at 1.30pm we have a mostly blue sky and the temperature a warm 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 68% and the UV Index on 4. Wind direction is ESE at present with gusts up to 25km/h.
We also have loaded up a new VIDEO CLIP giving you a bit of a tour along Bali’s West Coast from Ulu up to Balian. This one is only a 4 minuter and an easy on the eyes watch, so check it out.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is showing wave height to hang in there similar to today’s conditions before a new swell kicks in late tomorrow afternoon or early on the 20th.
Further out we are expecting two more big swells to hit Bali, the first one should arrive on the 22nd followed by a slightly bigger one on the 24th and with any kind of luck we might see the running of the RipCurl Padang Padang Cup. Fingers crossed and stay tuned to the baliwaves for more info and up dates.
