BALI / INDONESIA
12th August 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok and here’s another fresh batch of photos hot off the press from where we were hanging out this morning. As it shows wave height was pushing a solid 4 foot on the set waves and surfing conditions super clean and glassy. It wasn’t until around 10.00am that the ESE Tradewind started to come up but even then it was still pretty clean and plenty do-able. Crowd wise there were a few “paddle assist” crew on softies for awhile but they didn’t really last long and plenty of waves to go around. The local boys from Tuban owned it today.
Weather wise it’s been a perfect Monday with nothing but blue sky. Right now it’s 5.35pm and the wind is coming out of the ESE with gusts up to 26km/h.
Next tide today will be a 1.8mtr High at 9.02pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is looking a little smaller again with a mid morning high tide so pick your location well.
We have also loaded up a fresh SURFERS STORY from our man Ben Simons so make sure you check it out.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Bali, –1US$=Rp14.125 –1AU$=Rp9,450 —
NB travelling to Bali then bringing CASH money is the way to go in high denominations. I used an ATM yesterday (Commonwealth Bank) and got a poorly rate of 1AU$=Rp8,990 Plus then there’s the risk of having your card skimmed. Cash is always best !
We have another item of interest loaded into our Real Estate page with a super deal on prime land at Watukurang, so make sure you check that out, perfect position for a surf camp or surf villa.
