BALI / INDONESIA
13th August 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so here’s another fresh photo gallery from us at the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report). Not the best conditions of the usual high Bali standards but still we were lucky enough to get a few waves, and that’s always a good thing right. As it shows in the photos wave height was only just in the 1-2ft range (knee to chest high) with an occasional slightly bigger head high freak set. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy through the early morning rain before the ESE Trade wind eventually kicked in around midday. As can be expected when the waves are so small the novice / learner level gets much higher.
Weather wise we had early morning rain that dragged on until around 9.30am with light and variable wind until the Tradey kicked in. Right now at 4.40pm the wind is ESE with gusts up to 15-18km/h.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is saying we should see a nice little bump in wave height, which will be a welcomed relief after today’s mini waves. Hopefully the Tradey will also kick in a little earlier.
We have also loaded up a fresh SURFERS STORY from our man Ben Simons so make sure you check it out.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Bali, –1US$=Rp14.175 –1AU$=Rp9,550 —
NB travelling to Bali then bringing CASH money is the way to go in high denominations. I used an ATM yesterday (Commonwealth Bank) and got a poorly rate of 1AU$=Rp8,990 Plus then there’s the risk of having your card skimmed. Cash is always best !
We have another item of interest loaded into our Real Estate page with a super deal on prime land at Watukurang, so make sure you check that out, perfect position for a surf camp or surf villa.
