BALI / INDONESIA
21st – 22nd+ August 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so here’s the photos that I never got a chance to load up the other day due to an old friend calling around to my place in the afternoon with half a dozen large bottles of beer. What more can a friend do, except help him drink them of course. As it shows there were some good waves down the coast and plenty of entertaining scenery as always, love this place cause it has something for everyone. Sun, sand, surf good food n friends and lots of pretty girls. A real surfers paradise indeed.
Yesterday the 22nd and we were up early and running off pre obtained internet surf forecast info and heading to a lesser know location down the coast. But were a little disappointed on arrival to find only 2-3ft waves peeling off and already 4 surfers in the water. The waves did get a little more consistent as the tide pushed in but it also become a little more crowded as well. But all in all everyone was happy and another good day out surfing in Bali.
This morning the 23rd and my 7.00am surf check on the Outer reefs (re our Bali Morning Surf n Weather Report on Twitter) was showing some more serious sized waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still running down at the time but even so there was still a dozen wave crazed surfers riding a very ordinary and dangerous looking Kuta reef in the 3-4ft+ range, seriously. Airports was also way to low / shallow to surf. While Middle Reef more attuned to the low tide being the deepest reef out there was breaking hard in the 4-6ft range but no takers in the water at the time I was on the beach. I’d say by now (10.55am) with the tide pushing back in there would be a solid crew out Kuta Reef.
Weather wise outside right now we have a mainly overcast sky with the temperature on 26C, Humidity is at 73% and the UV index on 6. Wind direction is coming out of the ESE with solid gusts up to 30km/h+.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 1.8mtr High at 2.01pm
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is saying that wave height should back off just a little and the wind fresh off shore through the morning and settling down a bit towards mid morning. Low tide bottoming out between 8-9am.
Ok that’s it from me today now I gotta go give our surf mobile a little love in the way of a service. Take care and talk to you all again tomorrow.
