BALI / INDONESIA
25th January 2020
Welcome surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so this morning didn’t quite go as I planned last night. For some reason or another I was having one of the best night sleeps in years so I rode it out till 6.40am, the time I had planned to be on location blasting away with the camera equipment.
So it wasn’t until just after 8.30am that I made it Canggu (Bali Morning Surf n Weather Video Report) to find wave height hitting the Echo to Pererenan stretch in the chest to well over head high class. The wind was light onshore out of the W-WNW but surfing conditions were super clean and glassy. With the tide still running up there was no shortage of barrels being delivered on the Sandbar section and local surfers (Corox, Satria & Gemuk to name a few) were putting on a pretty good display. The wind it was some where around 9.45am the wind dedicated to the West and slowly but surely kept increasing in strength.
Weather wise today it’s been a warm old Saturday here in Bali. Pretty much blue sky right across the island today and it’s still clear now at 4.40pm. Right now the temp is still a very warm and humid 32 Celsius, Humidity is at 80%. Super light and variable wind early before dedicating around to the W-WSW. Just now it looks to me like it’s swung to the SE.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for more light variable wind early and then tending more into the SE according to the charts., And this phenomenon does occur every year usually. Always sometime in January the wind will switch back to the E-SE for at least a couple of days and sometime a couple of weeks. Wave should still be around although dropping a touch on today’s size.

Don’t forget if your looking for any surfing supplies make sure you drop into the Echo Beach Boardriders mega surf shop up at Canggu.
Here’s another thing that might interest some of the ex-pats with young children living here in Bali that might be interested in having their kids learn to play a musical instrument (drums, guitar, base guitar or piano) instead of just playing games on phones. Sound interesting then send us an email today and get your children into music. Contact us for more information email link here
