Alright so I hope all you friends of Bali are well and following your governments protocols, it’s pretty much the same in every country World wide. Eg, keep your hands clean and out of your face and some social distancing of at least 1 mtr. Me I’m ok with the social distancing as I’ve always enjoyed my space and don’t like strangers entering into “my zone” I’m going to give an update on the ” Corona Virus Bali Lockdown” soon here on the baliwaves so stay in touch and keep in our loop for more info coming soon. Yesterday the 19th and I only made it as far as a surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban as per our Twitter and Instagram video reports. Wave height was down in the 1-2+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were perfect though with the wind light out of the ENE before turning full ESE and hitting Trade wind strength by mid to late morning.
Today the 20th and I was hoping to see a slight bump in wave height so I took a run over to the East Coast. As it shows in our latest photo gallery (re Twitter / Instagram) wave height was a consistent shoulder to head high with some bigger sets coming through. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind light out of the East. Crowd wise the local grommets were taking advantage of their extended school holiday and there were also quite a lot of Japanese kids out in the water as well. I dare say there were no Aussies out there.
Weather wise it’s been great weather all week and today it have been clear and sunny. Right now at 2.40pm the temperature is a warm 30 degree’s Celsius and the ESE wind is now at Trade wind strength, off shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for another bump in wave height but with more South in direction. Early morning light ENE wind before developing into Trade wind by midday.
