BALI SURF & WEATHER REPORT 30th April 2020
Firstly we do know from first hand experience here in Bali with absolutely no support other than friends and family. We would also like to offer a free promotional service to any other small outfits / businesses that are surf related here in Indonesia and Australia. So in turn we have told all our sponsors that we will be waving any fee’s until things are getting back to normal again. Please contact us to see if your eligible for free promotion on baliwaves. We are surfers doing this for our fellow surfers and will hopefully continuing to do our thing for many years to come.
Alright so just in case your not aware here in Bali all our beaches have been closed to the public and pretty much everyone has been respecting the Balinese governments advice. I think somewhere around the 29th of May we will find out if we can get back in the surf or whether another lock down extension will happen. Fingers crossed we’ll be back in the surf.
I’ve been busy keeping our Bali Corona Virus blog up to date with info on stats and how it is on the ground here in Bali. I’ve also been adding in some links to groups of hard working people that have been doing the best to help the locals that are in need with hot meals and food packages. So make sure you check it out and if you can please help out.
I’m sure the surf has been cranking all over Bali, that’s pretty well the norm right. But seeing as though we can’t get out and shoot fresh photos and video I’ve been back diggin into my archived files to help keep your Bali surfing stoke keeps burning. Today’s photo gallery was shot over at Keramas pre Komune and crowds in April 2011. Lots of local surfers and friends feature in the photos and there’s a few people that reckon Keramas used to break a lot differently back before the development and all the shifting sand erosion that has gone down.
Weather wise it’s been typical Bali conditions with hot and humid day times along with fresh and gusty ESE Trade Wind. As per the law of Murphy this year the dry season kicked in early in 2020.
Looking at the swell forecast we have another long period solid swell in transit to Bali that will light up not just Bali’s big wave locations but also right across Indonesia from the islands to the East right up to the Northern end of the Ments to Aceh.
Special thanks dept goes out to the handful of friends that have kicked in some dollars to help my family and I to keep some food on the table and the lights on. I can’t thank you all enough.
Thanks again friends for your continued support of the original Bali surf report website.
