Good morning surfers and thanks for dropping into your baliwaves.com for the latest news on whats happening surf and weather wise here on your favourite surfing holiday island of Bali.
First up I couldn’t make the run over to Geger Beach at Nusa Dua yesterday. But according to one of my local surfing friends who did get over there he said that there was some nice little waves peeling down the reef (right handers of course) in the shoulder to head high range. Along with clean off-shore wind and a solid crew of surfers in the water.
This morning’s 7.45Am surf check of the Outer Reefs was showing a slight increase in wave size between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Now showing in the 2-3ft class (shoulder to head high). The wind is much lighter this morning as well and I don’t think it’s going to be all that much longer before we can start surfing back on Bali’s Premier West Coast again.
Wind direction was light on-shore coming out of the West @ 3-5knot.
Tide wise today, the first is going to be a 0.9mtr Low @ 10.39Am and then we’ll have a 2.1mtr High around the 5.00Pm mark.
Looking for a wave today, well with a slight bump in wave height expected for today and into tomorrow it should have opened up a few more locations for the boys and girls here in Bali. Nyang Nyang’s and Green Bowls down on the extreme South Eastern end of Bali will be worth a look. Geger Beach / Nusa Dua will also be a crowd favourite. Plus I think you might even find a few small waves at Serangan and up at Padang Galak / Secrets. And quite possibly Keramas will have some quality little waves for the more experienced surfers.
Weather wise out there this morning it’s a classic day coming on. Blue sky and sunshine is the call for today. Heading for a maximum temperature of around 33 degree’s Celsius along the beach and even hotter in the more protected area’s.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,400 and 1US$=Rp11.000 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.
