Hello everyone and thanks again for staying tuned to the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999).
Hey ok, well I have gotten a little behind with a bit of a back log of material. But this should square us up until we get some more fresh stuff to show ya’s again tomorrow. If you haven’t already checked our latest video clip we have thrown toegther from footage we (Ketut) shot down at Uluwatu please do so. Then, just for the record take a browse through my last up date I put on the baliwaves yesterday. A compilation of photos that I shot with an old GoPro along the walking path between Pantai Jerman in South Kuta North to Kuta.
This usually a busy walking / jogging pathway that is enjoyed by both locals and International visitors. Offering a cool and scenic route between Kuta almost all the way down to the Airport. The last couple of days I walked / jogged on it it was still almost empty of people traffic. But there were signs of a slight and I do mean slight up beat in tourisim up along the Kuta beach side beer and cool drink vendors. Anyway if you want the full run down and views check it out.
Today’s report has some fram grabs from Canggu that I edited out of some of Ketut’s video footage. Yes, that will probably be my next video editing task. But you can usually always count on some fun hollow waves hitting Canggu’s Sandbar section on the run in tide.
Today the 24th Ketut, Ray and I thought we had earned a day off so we took the old boat out for a run down to Uluwatu. Hoping to pick up some fresh tucker for the families. It’s always a good day out on the ocean when I’m with people I love, fish or no fish. Today it was no fish. We should have turned right at Kuta Reef instead of left maybe. You just never know unless you try right.
Weather wise it was great boating conditions early with clean and glassy conditions. Maybe you saw our almost live video reports this morning I loaded onto baliwaves / facebook page ? Anyway it was a mostly hot and sunny day with a few very welcomed clouds. The wind was light and variable early but by the time we hit the beach early this afternoon it was fresh out of the ESE.
BTW wave height today between Kuta Reef and Uluwatu was only just breaking in th 1-2ft range. That’s knee to waist high plus. Solid crowds at Uluwatu and at Balangan as the tide started to fill.
Tomorrows surf forecast is calling for a slight dop in wave height and for the wind to be fresh and E-ESE dedication.
Ok crew I’m a bit frazzled from today’s mission and going to call it a day and sit back on a nice comfortable sofa and put my feet up for the rest of our Sunday. Thanks for tuning in and thanks for all your support through out these last 2 years that we are all hoping to put behind us asap.
