Yesterday the 10th we pulled into the East coast car park to see consistent head to well over head high sets and couldn’t grab our gear quick enough. There were already 2 surfers in the water and looking like they were having a ball. Then, just like that… it stopped breaking. Well not actually totally stopped but I am talking like 1-2 head high waves every 25mins. We hung around drinking coffee, staying positive and hoping for an incoming tidal surge of surf. But by the time the tide did start surging back in and the waves to start showing again the wind was already an on shore WSW. Yeah, a bit disappointing but you can’t have it all everyday right.
My afternoon surf check on the Outer Reefs here in South Kuta was looking a lot worse with a fresh SW on shore wind, reef exposing low tide and only knee to waist high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
This morning the 10th and I’ve had to resort to the phone for surf info from my friends on the ground over on the East Coast. I was contemplating going over to Keramas for a quicky but was informed that there was already 35-40 surfers in the water. There were waves in the chest to over head high mark but just too crowded. Not much difference at Carparks or KFC with the wind now cross shore pout of the West. Here in South Kuta it’s been a bit of a shocker weather wise with constant rain and fresh Westerly wind. Hopefully tomorrow we will get over there for a squiz.
Weather wise right now at 11.20am it’s 28C with more rain to come. Humidity level is at 84% with the wind fresh out of the West at 24km/h.
The next tide today will be a 2.44mtr High at 1.11pm
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is saying we can expect a slight drop in size through the early morning before bumping back up after lunch and a much longer period. Early morning variable wind before dedicating to the W-SW by late morning / early afternoon.

If anyone of our regulars has an old GoPro at home they would like to donate to us at baliwaves we would be forever grateful. I did have a GoPro 7 but last year the rubber seal covering the on/off button perished and is now not water tight. please drop us a line here
