The last few days have gone by in a blur or more realistically a blink of the eye. But yesterday I spend the day out on the big blue highway with my son Ray. Testing out our fishing equipment, boat and engine for our 2023 season that is coming on just as fast. Almost everything worked smoothly most importantly the boat didn’t leak and the engine was purrrring. Only one strike all morning so after 4hrs of trolling around Uluwatu / Nyang Nyan we returned empty handed but as always it was a pleasure to be out on the ocean with my young bloke.
Today the 1st of May and it was a dark and overcast morning down on the East Coast that eventually turned wet. There are a few photos from our last session that I never got to post but you can see where today’s photo gallery kicked in with the contrast from vivid color to dull and greyish. But there were a few waves with the bigger set waves pushing the well over head high class. The wind was light and variable early and even a little bit off shore before the Easterly kicked in around 9.45am. Crowd wise it was pretty easy going with only around 10-12 surfers spread through the line up.
Weather wise it was an overcast morning but the sun did make and apperance and has turned out to be a standard hot and sunny afternoon here in South Kuta. Right now at 3.05pm it’s 21C with the humidity at 70%. Wind direction is out of the ESE at 21km/h.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 1.72mtr High at 7.48pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the modals calling a slight drop in wave height on the lower period of 12-13 seconds. The wind is also predicted to be a little fresher out of the E-ESE.
Ok friends thanks for tuning in and we look forward to seeing you here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
If anyone of our regulars has an old GoPro at home they would like to donate to us at baliwaves we would be forever grateful. I did have a GoPro 7 but last year the rubber seal covering the on/off button perished and is now not water tight.
