****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello again and everything is shaping up for another big day of surf and sunshine here on the No.1 surfing holiday island of Bali. With the expected new swell arriving right on time as we mentioned a couple of days ago.
My first surf check of the Outer Reefs was showing some nice looking waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the 2-4ft range. Kuta Reef had waves peeling off in the shoulder to head high plus range and there looked to be around 20 surfers out there at. Middle Reef was probably the best pick with wave height a consistant head to head high plus and better suited to the lower end of the tide, Down on Airport Left there was also plenty of shoulder to head high plus waves breaking, but with around 30 surfers.
Surfing conditions were perfectly clean with a light SSE off-shore wind.
Tidal info; the first one today was a 0.9mtr Low @ 9.30Am then she’ll be running back in for a 1.9mtr High around 3.30Pm
Looking for a wave today, well you could take your pick of any location here along the West Coast and find some good clean waves. And I’m sure Uluwatu would be the place to find waves up to double head high.
Weather wise, Blue sky and sunshine is what you get today if your here in Bali, well at 9.00Am the outside temperature was already hovering around 28 degree’s Celsius and climbing.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you will find 1US$=Rp11,990 — 1AU$=Rp7,950 give or take 50 Rupiah depending on vendor.
Ok crew have a good one and stay tuned over the weekend because we’ll be keeping ya’s up-dated all through it.

Hello Slim, i vote yes to longboard report but i would say no to bodyboard report.
An old radical short boarder.
Ps; keep fishing!
tony perks says
guys as a surfer af both a surfboard and a bodyboard i think reporting purely the surf alone is plenty- i personally believe no matter what preference of board you ride every person is in the ocean because it is what THEY enjoy…..be it deep in a pit on a lid or carving a big turn on a longboard….its all about the waves!
Chris says
Why don’t you put up a stand up paddle board report …..They are really good for your core
julio ernesto cordones denis republic of panama says
really superb waves
drew says
you don’t need a sup report on you site sups are way to bring people with fuck all ability or knowledge of the ocean into an already crowd saturated surfing market , that’s just what balis crowded reefs need a bunch of clueless european back packers blindly paddling into reef line ups , DOH
slim says
I here by promise, there will be no SUP promotion of any kind on baliwaves.com
jeremy says
Drew, Think outside the square ! Don’t waist your time until you have been on a sup. Then make a decent comment.
whippet says
I can see that sups would be fun on very small days on ya local beachie, but there is no place for them on reefs, especially with a crowd.
slim says
Have to agree with ya Whippet, keep em at home.
