Keramas Surf Report – Friday 21st August 2026
Ketut was back over on the East Coast at Keramas early this morning and reported wave height sitting in the 4 to 6 foot range with a few bigger sets pushing through on the better ones. The wind was offshore right from first thing and stayed that way through until around 10am, so the waves were clean and lining up across the reef. Crowd wise there were about 15 surfers out and mostly medium level, so the peak never got too competitive and everyone was getting waves.
Ketut mentioned the best of it was in that early window before the wind started to move about. The sets were coming through in bunches with quiet gaps in between and then three or four good ones in a row, which is what you get when the swell is running from a long way out.
Weather & Tides
Right now it’s sitting around 23C with sunny conditions and only light wind about. On the tides today the water was already on the way down through the morning heading for the low around 7:45pm this evening. The next high fills in about 3am before draining back to a low near 11am tomorrow morning, then pushing back over the reef again around 4pm, which should leave enough water there for most of the day.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead there is still a good amount of swell in the water. Saturday should hold around 6 foot with the swell still running long, and Sunday looks much the same at 6 foot before easing back a touch to 5 to 6 foot on Monday. Winds are looking variable across the weekend so the early mornings will be the best call before the local wind builds. More detail on the swell forecast page.
