Canggu Surf Report – Monday & Tuesday 24-25th August 2026
Ketut was up at Canggu early on Monday & Tuesday morning and reported wave height sitting in the 2 to 4 foot range with some bigger ones pushing through on the better sets. Wind was offshore for the whole check which kept the faces clean and lining up across the banks. Crowd wise there were plenty out, no surprise for Canggu with conditions like that, but surfers were spread across the peaks enough that there were still waves getting through for anyone looking for one.
Ketut mentioned the sky was a bit cloudy at times through the morning, though it made no real difference to the surf with the offshore holding steady. The tide was still draining early which left the banks a little shallow on the inside, so the better waves were the ones taken from further out. Once the water started to fill in through mid morning the waves lined up nicer and the sets came through with a bit more shape to them. Numbers built as the morning went on the way they always do up there, though the wave count stayed reasonable if you were willing to move around and wait for a set.
Weather & Tides
Right now it is sitting around 23C with cloud about at times and light offshore wind still in it. On the tides today we had an early low around 4:15am before the water began filling in through the morning, with the high due around 10:30am. From there it eases back down to a low around 4:45pm before the next high around 11pm, so the mid morning window through to early afternoon is where there is enough water sitting over the banks to keep the waves lining up properly.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead there is a bit more size on the way. Friday is shaping up as the biggest of it with 6 foot showing on a long 16 second swell out of the south west, so expect the outer banks to be doing the work. Saturday eases back a touch to the 4 to 6 foot range and Sunday holds around 4 to 5 foot, which is still plenty of waves for anyone keen. Early mornings will be the pick before the local wind builds through the middle of the day. Worth a look at the swell forecast for the full picture on how the coming days line up.
