****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for the run down on whats been happening today surf and weather wise here in Bali. Hendra and Team from down at Uluwatu have once again supplied us with these latest photos.
Well I took no hurry getting down for my surf recon of the Outer Reefs this morning, pretty much knowing that there wasn’t going to be much going on between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And I was, unfortunately 100% correct with wave height only just lapping on the the reef in the half to half a foot plus class. I also had a bunch of sms surf reports from other parts of the island and, other islands and this how it was.
Balangan, 1 foot with 50 surfers in the water (the new Dreamland..)
Uluwatu, was at least surfable in the waist to chest high range on the Main Peak with 35 surfers.
Lakey Peak, another casualty of no swell with 1 footers lapping onto the Peak.
G-land, Now it sounds to me like this was the place to be with wave height in the chest to head high plus range and only half a dozen surfers surfing the top end of Money Tree’s at the time of the report.
Tidal info for today says we had a 0.4mtr Low @ 7.30am and then a mid range 2.1mtr High around the 1.30pm mark.
Weather wise, well at least we can’t have complained about todays wetaher here on the island of the Gods. Blue sky and sunshine the temperature peaking around the 29 degree Celsius zone.
I’m pretty sure tomorrow and Thursday are going to be pretty much the same as today, so if you did manage to find a wave today then that’s the best place to head to again tomorrow.
Swell Forcast; Small to micro waves through Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday then Friday is looking good for the start of a very solid swell that should peak on saturday and hold through till early next week.
New Video Clip, I should have the new footage I shot up at Keramas the other day on-line for ya’s in another hour or so. So, if there’s not much happening in the office this afternoon make sure you watch it.
G-land; Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings into the G-Land Surf Camp has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard, twin share and fan bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
And don’t forget to drop me a line if your looking for some surfer friendly accommodation here in Tuban / Bali (the quiter end of town). Right here at Home Base we have single rooms for US$15.00, US$18.00 for couple’s & US$25.00 for a twin share room. All rooms have Air conditioning, hot and cold water, tv, refridgerator and large private bathroom. 300mtrs back from the beach in front of the Outer reefs here in Tuban.
Surf Board special offer; It just so happens a friend of mine here in Bali is holding 3 brand new boards, never ridden or even waxed and is offering them at a special price of AU$525.00. These aren’t back yard or pop out boards either made by one of the most reputable shapers in Australia.
