****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello again surfers and thanks for hanging around the baliwaves (’99) today. Ok so here’s what went down at Uluwatu today, we arrived around 10.30Am to find wave height hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections in the solid over head to double head high sector (with the occassional bigger freak sets of course). Around 60 surfers spread between the Peak and Temple’s and plenty of waves to go round.
Surfing conditions as you can see were clean and tidy with the wind varying from the ESE-SE-SSE. I’d also imagine the Racetrack section will be cranking as the tide gets lower later this afternoon. Hopefully the boys at Hendra Surf Photography will be dropping off the evidence later this evening. Alright then thanks again for all your valuable support and we’ll be back again tomorrow with more from your favorite surfing holiday destination of Bali
NB: I think at this stage of September we have already loaded you guys and girls up with over 1200 high quality photos, and still more to come.
****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the always “in season” surfing holiday island destination of Bali.
Yesterday I did get time to take a surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban but that was about all the time I got. With Ketut Pica my assistant still out of action I had a tonne of stuff to get done. Anyway there wasn’t really much happening surf wise on the Outers with only knee to chest high waves between Kuta Reef and Airport Left (7.00AM). I did get in another quick look just before sunset to see a nice little increase into the head to over head class and the promise of bigger and better waves for today.
This mornings surf check on the Outers was indeed showing a solid increase in wave size with head to almost double head high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. At 7.45AM Kuta Reef was peeling off some long rides in the head to over head class and plenty of surfers in the water taking advantage of the perfection on offer.
Surfing conditions were as good as they get with the wind light off shore out of the ESE @ 4-7knot.
Just for the moment I’ve loaded a couple of quick tube ride sequences that our good mates from Hendra Surf Photography captured yesterday afternoon down on the Racetrack at Uluwatu. There’s a whole lot more to be loaded up when I get back later (we are heading down that way shortly for a session) so make sure you stay tuned to the baliwaves through out the day.
Today’s tidal information has us down for a 2.2mtr High @ 11.00AM and then dropping out for a 0.3mtr Low around the 5.00PM mark.
Weather wise outside it’s clear sailing with nothing but blue sky here in the Tuban area.
Ok I’ll have the complete picture for ya’s later in the Afternoon Surf Up Date.
