****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi Folks and thanks dor dropping into the baliwaves ’99 for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions plus, from right here on every sane surfers No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
I didn’t get a chance to take a look at conditions on the Outer Reefs this morning, I was just going on the previous patterns which were all pointing towards good early morning conditions for Canggu.
Arriving around the 7.30AM mark to find a fairly high tide and a very consistent chest to well over head wave height hitting on all 3 of the major sections at Canggu. The left hand reef break out the front of the cafe’s had a dozen surfers on it was a super consistent head to over head high. The left hand sand bar was grinding through waves in the same size with only 3 surfers out. While the right hander on the river mouth also siimilar in size had another 12-15 riders out there.
It was clean off shore first up before glassing off and then the wind eventually coming up out of the SE. But there were still some good waves coming through when we packed up at 11.00AM.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 1.7mtr High @ 8.30AM and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around the 2.30PM mark.
Weather wise we had a hot and sunny start to the day with the temperature peaking around 29 degree’s Celsius before a nice and cooling rain through midday before clearing up again later through the afternoon. Right now @ 6.30PM the temp is back up to 28 degree’s celsius with the Humidity on 84%. Wind direction is still SE @ 5-8knot.

Another thing noticable on the highway and roads today was the amount of tourists riding around on motorbikes without helmets, shirts and a few without even rubber sandels on their feet. And I reckon an honest guest would have been that at least 85% of them would have never even sat on a motorcycle before let alone try to ride one in crazy traffic, it was just that obvious….
Ok crew have a good one and we’ll be back out there hunting up some more waves again to show ya’s just how good it is here in Bali all year round. It’s always “in season” over here.
