****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves ’99 for the latest on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the always “in season” surfing holiday destination of Bali.
It was nice to start off the day with some blue sky and sunshine this morning, but still no need for a surf check on the Outer Reefs with the wind up early and strong out of the West. So we took an easy ride back over to the East Coast 25minutes away to Serangan. As it shows in the handful of photos I snapped, there were some waves, with the odd head high set waves. But there was indeed also one solid crowd, with at least 6-8 surf schools also thrown into the mix.
Surfing conditions were clean enough with just a slight chop from the gusty off shore wind.
Tidal info for today had a 0.1mtr Low @ 7.00AM and then filling back in with a 2.1mtr High around the 1.00PM mark.
Weather wise we did get a few drops of rain over at Serangan but within the hour we were back to blue sky and a hot midday temperature. Currently right now @ 4.00Pm the outside temp is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity @ 80%. Wind direction is West @ 10-14knot.
I’ll be taking a long look at what the swell forecasters are predicting later this evening and try and bring ya’s up to date in our next report. I haven’t seen the exchange rate for a few days but I do believe both the Aussie and US dollars are still both over the Rp9,000. mark.
Holiday time has hit the roads again here in Bali with plenty of slow moving traffic all around the Kuta to Seminyak area. Be prepared as it will remain with us until after the New Year has well and truelly passed.
