****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Good morning friends and welcome back to the baliwaves (’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from, well you know where, the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination if Bali.
First up here’s our photo gallery from yesterday thanks to Ketut for braving the conditions and making the ride up to Keramas. As it shows surfing conditions at K-mas were pretty wild and definitely not for the faint of heart or the un knowing novice. You can also probably guess by the photo color that it was mainly overcast all day.
This morning’s 6.00AM surf recon on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to maybe have dropped off a smidgen, but still breaking in the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. If you had just got off a plane last night then you’d probably be thinking it was good enough for a paddle. But there were no surfers in sight while I was on the beach through until 6.30AM.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 1.1mtr Low @ 10.00Am and then pushing back in for a 1.8mtr High around the 4.00PM mark.
Weather wise out side right now (7.30AM) we have more cloud cover and the temperature sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is 79%. Wind direction is coming lightly out of the North @ 2-4knot.
Our good friends at the G-Land Surf Camp have been in touch and have a “special trip” organized to head into the ultimate surfing location this coming Wednesday the 21st of March. It also just happens to coincide with a new swell, so if your interested in joing the trip contact us here at baliwaves.com and we’ll make sure you get a 15% discount. This “surfers discount” applies for any trip into the G-Land Surf Camp. But you must contact us first ok.
