****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks again for taking the time out to drop into the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok so you may have noticed we did make it down to the southern end of the island yesterday afternoon, and yes we were on location at Padang Padang. The average wave size down there was coming through in the double head high class with the occasional 6 footer thrown in. Only around 30 surfers in the water at the time with Made “Bol” the stand out tube riding master. Not the best conditions for shooting photos sorry folks with late afternoon West Coast, mainly dark and cloudy sky.
This mornings 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off quite a lot. No showing in the 3-4ft+ sector. Plenty of surfers out riding on Kuta Reef and Airport Left while the tide was running in, with chest to head high waves and the add bigger. Still pushing into the double head high division on Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were not looking the best early with the wind light on shore and rain laden clouds. But by 9.00AM the SSE – SE Trade Wind has kicked in with gusts into the 20knot range.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report (9.00AM) thanks to David over at the G-Land Surf Camp was also calling a drop in wave height this morning. Overcast and rain with head to double head high and the occasional bigger freak set. With the boys and girls in camp waxing up with the anticipation of the inevitable arrival of the Trade Wind.
Just contact us here at baliwwaves if you would like to try the G-Land experience and get yourself a solid discount off any advertised package at the G-Land Surf Camp.
The next Tide today here in Bali will be a 0.3mtr Low at 3.54PM this afternoon.
Weather wise today it’s been a weird one for this time of the year with some heavy rain this morning still light drizzle now at 11.30AM. The outside temperature is still ok at 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is on 84%. Wind direction is now straight East, now with gusts into the 25knot+ range.
