**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew and welcome back to the baliwaves.com 7/7 daily surf and weather report. The time here in Bali has just gone 7.30am and I’ve just returned from the morning surf recon of Tuban’s Outer Reefs . At the moment the wind is blowing on-shore outta the NW @ 2-4knot , but she should revert back to ESE sometime around mid morning. Wave height is still rolling through in the 5-6ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airports . The only place that was surfable was Kuta Reef and there was already around 20 surfers in the line-up. It was looking too wild at Middle Reef with the set waves shifting all over the place, breaking way out behind the normal take off zone. There was also non stop waves rolling through out in the middle of Legian Bay on the Karang Tengah reef in the solid 6-7ft place range. I’d have to imagine that Uluwatu would be up there in the 8-10ft class today and there is hope for the surfing trials being staged at Padang Padang by Rip Curl. The tide is just starting to run down from a 1.9mtr High and heading for a 0.8mtr Low around midday. So that’s when the waves should be at there optimum at Padang Padang . Weather wise outside the rain has just finished, around this part of the island anyway. But there’s still some big old black clouds hanging around down South. I’ve gotta help organize some cost price airfares to Lakey Peak for a few Aussie’s as soon as I get this done and then I’ll be making my way down to Padang Padang with the Video equipment . I’ve also received an sms from dan at the Super Bank in Oz and at the time he was down at the beach shooting some more photos for ya’s. An he reckoned it was cranking ! Alright then surfers this should give ya’s a head’s up on what the score is here in Bali this morning. But try and get back here for the afternoon wrap up on how she pans out and hopefully some video footage from padang Padang . Now get some work done while your waiting.
