Bali Surf Report – September 2 2007

MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome back for the baliwaves.com SUNDAY SESSION ! More perfect waves were peeling down the line on Kuta Reef yesterday as ya’s can see by looking at these photos I shot. I also managed to load ya’s up one NEW VIDEO CLIP from KR as well so take the time to check that out as well while you’re here. Ok I’ve already been down for a suss out the wave scene on the Outer Reefs and it looks like to me another “ground hog day” . There’s still plenty of swell rocking through between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the 3-5ft range (head to double head high). The tide was almost on the bottom for a 0.3mtr Low set for 7.30am so there was still plenty of exposed reef . Middle Reef was the only option for the early session and there were already a few surfers warming up on the beach getting ready to hit it at 6.45am . Later on when the tide starts it’s run back in for a 2.1mtr High @ 1.30pm all sections of the Outers are gunna be cranking. Kuta Reef should still be delivering the goods in the 2-4ft range (that’s me) Middle Reef has still got some solid double over head 5 footers peeling off, and Airport Left for the surfers that are still whetting their teeth surfing over a living coral reef @ 2-3ft+. The wind was only light and off-shore coming straight outta the East @ 2-5knot but will increase in strength through out the morning and swinging more to the ESE-SE. So, using the Outer Reefs as a swell indicator I’d be confident in saying that right now Bingin and Impossible’s would also be cranking with the morning Low tide. Probably a few 2-4 footers at Padang Padang but maybe just a tad too much swell for the Racetrack section of Uluwatu . But the Main Peak and Temple sections down at Ulu will be smoking on the Mid to High tide. Weather wise for now we have got some high and thin looking cloud for starters but that should be dispersed when the Tradewind kicks in. Ya can expect the beach side temperature to at least be around the 30 degree Celsius mark, while the water temp is refreshing at 21 degree’s Celsius . What else have I been doing, oh yeah I’ve also thrown another 50 or so photos into the August Surfing Gallery and I suppose I’ll have to start loading up the September Gallery with the ones left over from August. I’m also gunna be sending our man Dewa Made out with the video camera again today to get ya’s a look at whats happening up around Kuta and Legian today.
