Bali Surf Report – September 4 2007

MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning groovers and we’re glad ya stopped by to see whats happening around the reefs and beach here on the happy little surf riddled holiday island of Bali . Ok so as ya’s can see I was back out in the channel at Kuta Reef yesterday shooting some photos with the 600mm. But surfing conditions were pretty testy and KR was maxing out in the 4-6ft range. The really good ones were few and far between, but they were there. I also had Dewa Made shooting digital video down at Padang Padang through the late afternoon and I reckon I’ll have a few NEW VIDEO CLIPS to show ya’s as soon as I get that transferred and edited, so stick around I’m gunna be straight onto that. This morning I did the surf check on the Outer Reefs and I was kinda expecting to see a slight reduction in size. But not too be, wave height is still maxing between Kuta Reef and Airports and there were plenty of bomb sets breaking way out in the middle of Legian Bay . Wave height is still up there in the 5-8ft range around this part of the rock. So I’d be thinking while the tide is still on the bottom of a 0.5mtr Low (9.00am ) the best place for the serious surfers to get some action would be down at Uluwatu or Padang Padang . There was no wind when I first hit the beach but now at 8.30am the Tradewind is just starting to kick in coming outta the ESE-SE @ 4-8knot . But like yesterday it’ll more than likely get going and increase to around the 12-15knot+ class. Weather wise there’s a bitta cloud hanging about but it’s still gunna be another hot and sunny day around the beach. Ok I’m gunna hook into Dewa’s video footage from Padang Padang for starters. Dan from down under has kept the Super Bank surf report page running hot with more photos and surf info. Pierre has got the READERS REPORT revving with photos and stuff from down at Dreamland .
