****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for the run down on todays surfing and weather conditions from the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Well it was through bloodshot eye’s and a throbbing head ache I took the surf recon of the Outer Reefs this morning around 9.00Am. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left has backed off over night and now only showing in the 1-2ft range on the bigger set waves.
Surfing conditions were pretty clean even though the wind at first was light on-shore coming out of the West @ 4-7knot. But virtually right before my eye’s the wind swung around to the SSE and off-shore in the 10 minutes I was on the sand.
Tide wise today we had a 2.2mtr High @ 11.00Am and then we’ll see a 0.4mtr Low around 5.00Pm this afternoon.
Looking for a wave today, locally there is a small wave out on Airport Left but only in the waist to waist high plus sector. Middle Reef might have slightly more size as the tide runs out. Down south on the Bukit Uluwatu would be the best option for size and power. I also had a phone through surf report from the G-land Surf Camp this morning. Their report was of wave height in the head to head high plus range, with 2 surfers on Kong’s, 2 surfers at Money Tree’s and 1 lone surfer on the Launching Pad. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at 8.00Am and they were also expecting the wind to swing off-shore within the hour…. and it did.
Up-Dates; Scotto has sent us through another surf report and photos from the Quicksilver Pro currently going down on the Goald Coast in Australia. And I’ll get that on-line for ya’s within the next half an hour.
Weather wise today, So far it’s been mainly hot and sunny but we did get around 10 minutes of rain at 10.30am, The afternoon is looking hot and humid with the chance of more rain later this evening or through the night.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta; 1US$=Rp11,900 — 1AUD=Rp7,590
Ok have a good one and stay tuned to the one and only original Baliwaves surf report.
