****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
G’Day folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com to get the latest news on whats happening surf and weather wise here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Unfortunately there’s not a great deal going down surf wise today. My first glimpse of the ocean at 7.30am was showing wave height breaking in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Nothing ridable on Kuta Reef or at Middle’s but Airport did have a couple of smallies breaking in the waist high class and there were a few surfers in the water at the time.
Surfing conditions this morning were clean enough but at the time I was doing my first surf chck the wind was blowing on-shore out of the NW @ 3-5knot. Since then it has swung around and now coming out of the SSE-SE @ 4-7knot.
Tidal info today we had a solid 2.5mtr High @ 12.00noon and later this aternoon we’ll see a dry 0.1mtr Low around 6.00pm
As ya’s can see in these current photos I shot up along the beach breaks of Padma St in Legian things were pretty ordinary. Wave height was also only breaking in the 1ft range with the occassional 2ft close out. Infact the sand banks at Padma st were very ordinary with the better shaped waves breaking another 200-300mtrs to the North. But all the same with a beautiful day outside there was plenty of vacationers splashing around all along the beach.
I also had a sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp letting us know that wave height was pretty small over there but still showing in the head high range at Kongs.
Weather wise today here in Bali it’s more blue sky and sunshine with an expected top temperature of around 33 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast; hhmmm, lets just hope the forecaster are still getting it all wrong. What they are saying is that we can’t really expect wave height to exceed the head high range until towards the end of next week.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that 1US$=Rp11,350 — 1AU$=Rp7,700
Ok crew enjoy your weekend and if there any significant change I’ll let ya’s know
