Today the 9th of March I was on site at the Quiky Pro by about 630am. The tide was really high and so I knew that the contest was going to put on hold till the tide dropped. They finally got underway around 830am. Running till the end of round three. The boys were sent out in some pretty testing conditions with strong winds and sometimes some inconsistent waves within the heats.
I had to head off at 1130am but had planned to come back after getting some personal business completed. On arrival back at the site I found the contest had been put on hold for the day.
They are getting ready to possible run some of the final rounds at Kirra so that might be interesting. The judgeing towers are being put in place, so lets see how cyclone hamish behaves. It could be that it will be just what the doctor ordered and Kirra will once again hold a world tour event.
Till next time.
