****EVENING SURF UP-DATE****
On arrival at Canggu this morning there was a number of crew in the water but conditions were only in the waist high range. Nothing to get to excited about. Plenty of people were keen to get wet though so the crowd was up even still.
I headed up to the river mouth as the tide was on its last push in. Every now and again a wave in the chest high range would hit and the boys would tear it apart.
There was the local rippers and there was also, and I didn’t think I would ever say this, but some japanese surfers who were ripping also. Apart from that some AUssies of course and then it was dodge the kooks.
But thats Canggu, and that was how it was today. Not big but certainly a wave if you were looking to get wet.
Till next time.

****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hmmm, well this mornings 6.45am surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was not looking promising to say the least. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was getting beyond the joke at 0-1ft on the biiger freak sets. Surfing conditions on the other hand were ideal with the wind blowing straight off-shore out of the East @ 5-9knot.
So with no chance of wave around this part of the island we loaded up the car and headed for Uluwatu down on the Southern end of the island, hoping to find something to ride. But not to be, wave height at Ulu was also in the micro class and only showing in the 1-2ft+ range. Plus with the tide running in for a 2.1mtr High @ 10.00am surfing conditions were fat and full. Needless to say I didn’t even bother opening my camera case. Driving home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there wasn’t even a ripple showing. Crowd wise there were at least 30 surfers in the water spread out between Temple’s and the Main Peak.
Weather wise the weather is becoming more and more stable as the dry season appraoches and right now at 1.15pm the temperature is sitting around 31 degree Celsius mark.
Sms surf report in from the G-land Surf Camp was saying that G-Land is the place to be with wave height still showing in the 2-3ft+ range with no surfers in the water at 7.30am (East Java time). So if your keen to get some surfing in at G-land drop us a line and we’ll throw some discount your way.
Hopefully we’ll see a slight increase in wave height over the next 48hrs (according to the swell forecasters anyway)
Ok then stay tuned to the baliwaves.com and we’ll keep you in the loop surf and weather wise from your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
