****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
This mornings surf check of the Outer Reefs here in the laid back suburb of Tuban (compared to Kuta anway) was still showing wave height breaking in the 2-3ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Earlier this morning Kuta Reef was producing some small but fun looking waist to chest high waves. But as the tide has been filling in heading for a 2.6mtr High scheduled for around 11.30am KR has become fat city and hardly breaking. Middle Reef was hitting some head to head high plus waves this morning and should be getting good again as the tide starts to run back out. Airport Left seemed to be handling the high tide, breaking in the head to head high plus range on the bigger set waves.
Looking for a wave today I’d be heading down to the Bukit and slugging it out with the crowd at Uluwatu, as thats where your going to find the better size and power. You could even find some less crowded waves at Balangan if your lucky.
Our daily sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that wave height has also backed off over at the ever famous G-land. This morning it was breaking in the 3-4ft range on Kongs and the top end of Money Tree’s with 4 surfers in the water at 8.30am
Surfing conditions this morning were clean but with the wind coming out of the NNW @ 2-3knot. Before the ESE-SE Tradewind started to crank up cleaning up the waves, currently blowing in the 7-10knot class @ 11.30am.
Our next tide will be a reef exposing Low of 0.1mtrs @ 6.00pm.
Weather wise today here in Bali more blue sky and sunshine heading for an expected top temperature of around 30 degree’s celsius. With the water temperature still sitting on 23-24 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that; –1AU$=Rp7,950 — 1US$=Rp10,225 —
Swell forecast is now saying that wave height should hold in the current state over Monday before backing off late on Tuesday. Then continue to fade out through until late next Thursday when our next swell is predeicted to arrive.
