****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
G’Day crew and thanks for checking in with the baliwaves.com to see whats going down surf and weather wise today here on the happy little holiday island of Bali. Hendra and his Team from down at Uluwatu have delivered these latest photographic gems for us on todays report.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking to good with wave height reverting back down into the 1-1ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. I did see a couple of surfers jump in one of the reef taxi’s and head out towards Middle Reef but they virtually did a lap of the reef and then returned back to the beach. So the best chance for a wave today is going to be down at Uluwatu.
Surfing conditions couldn’t be much better with the wind coming out of the ESE @ 5-8knot, blowing straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today is saying we’ll have a 0.6mtr Low @ 9.00am and then running back in for a 1.7mtr High tide around 3.00pm. The next moon Phase is going to be a New Moon coming up on the 20th of this month.
Sms surf report from Balian this morning was saying that wave height was only showing in the waist to chest high range. But surfing conditions were nice and clean in front of the river mouth with 25 surfers in the water.
Sms surf report from Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa to the East of Bali was saying wave height on the Peak is showing in the waist to chest high plus sector and surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time of the report.
Sms surf report from the G-land Surf Camp also confirms a drop in wave height with chest to head high plus waves hitting the top of Kong’s and 4 surfers out there at the time. Money Tree’s should also have some waves as the tide turns to run back in.
Weather wise around this part of Bali this morning we have a mainly clear blue sky with just a smidgen of cloud moving over from time to time. Heading for a top temperature of around 29-30 degree’s Celsius along the beach.
Swell Forecast; Friday is looking good for the start of a very solid swell that should peak on saturday and hold through till early next week.
New Video Clip, The new footage I shot up at Keramas the other day is on-line for ya’s, so if there’s not much happening in the office this afternoon make sure you watch it.
G-land; Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings into the G-Land Surf Camp has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard, twin share and fan bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
And don’t forget to drop me a line if your looking for some surfer friendly accommodation here in Tuban / Bali (the quiter end of town). Right here at Home Base we have single rooms for US$15.00, US$18.00 for couple’s & US$25.00 for a twin share room. All rooms have Air conditioning, hot and cold water, tv, refridgerator and large private bathroom. 300mtrs back from the beach in front of the Outer reefs here in Tuban.
Surf Board special offer; It just so happens a friend of mine here in Bali is holding 3 brand new boards, never ridden or even waxed and is offering them at a special price of AU$525.00. These aren’t back yard or pop out boards either made by one of the most reputable shapers in Australia. Ok folks hang in there as hopefully tomorrow we’ll start to see a new swell starting to show on our reefs by the end of the day.
See ya’s then
