****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves.com for our Sunday Session on the latest surfing and weather info to come out of the No.1 surf, sun and fun holiday island of Bali. And thanks to our good friends at Hendra Surf Photography we’ve got these latest photos from Uluwatu.
Well it’s been a great weekend of waves so far with another solid boost in wave height through Saturday that saw just about every location along our South Western coastline firing up, ranging from head to tripple head high. And the show ain’t over yet.
This mornings surf recon on the Outer Reefs was to find a drop in size, but even so there were still some nice little waves in the chest to head high plus class. At 7.00am the tide was still on the top of a 2.00mtr High so Kuta Reef and Airport Left the better options for a paddle first up. As the tide gets towards the bottom of the expected 0.7mtr Low Middle Reef will then be the best of the big 3.
Surfing conditions early this morning were very clean with the wind only light out of the East @ 2-5knot but has since swung more to the ESE-SE and bumped up to Tradewind strength @ 12-15knot+.
Looking for a wave today, well even with the drop in size from yesterday you’ll still be able to find some nice little waves from Kuta Reef all the way down to Uluwatu.
The sms surf report from the crew at the G-Land Surf Camp was saying they have had nothing but smoking waves over at G-Land all weekend with wave heigh ranging from head high plus to tripple head high.
Weather wise we’ve basically got another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island with just a smidgen of cloud drifting across from time to time. Heading for a top temperature of around 29 degree’s Celsius. The water temp has dropped a notch or two and currently sitting on 19-20 degree’s Celsius.
G-land; Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings into the G-Land Surf Camp has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard, twin share and fan bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
And don’t forget to drop me a line if your looking for some surfer friendly accommodation here in Tuban / Bali (the quiter end of town). Right here at Home Base we have single rooms for US$15.00, US$18.00 for couple’s & US$25.00 for a twin share room. All rooms have Air conditioning, hot and cold water, tv, refridgerator and large private bathroom. 300mtrs back from the beach in fron of the Outer reefs here in Tuban.
Surf Board special offer; It just so happens a friend of mine here in Bali is holding 3 brand new boards, never ridden or even waxed and is offering them at a special price of AU$525.00. These aren’t back yard or pop out boards either made by one of the most reputable shapers in Australia. Sizes are 6’3″ & 6’6″ So if your after a high performance new board drop us an email and I’ll put you in touch.
Ok then crew that’s about me for now, but we’ll be back with more og the good stuff again tomorrow.
Best Regards from Bali
