****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for checking in at the baliwaves.com for the latest news on todays surfing and weather conditions here on your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was defintly showing another little increase in wave height with at least 3-5ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But the wind was coming lightly out of the WNW so I decided to take a run over to Keramas on the East Coast and see what was going down. As ya’s can see in these photos I shot wave height was hitting the shelf in the solid 3-4ft+ (head to almost double head high). The tide was still a bit low when I arrived and the wind here had also swung further around to the South.
But surfing conditions were still relatively clean and smooth. There were only around a dozen surfers in the water, off and on, while I was there and stand out surfer was local Devis Ratif. Pulling into some barely makeable barrel’s and somehow managing to thread his way out again. The waves were getting better shape towards midday but the wind was also increasing in strength from the South so I called it a day.
Tidal info was saying we had a 0.5mtr Low @ 8.30AM and then running back up for a 1.6mtr High @ 2.30PM
Weather wise it’s been another fine day along the beach with the temperature hovering around the 31 degree’s Celsius mark.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that wave height was coming through at a solid 8ft, hitting the Launching Pad and the odd one going down through Speed Reef. No one in the waer at the time of this report.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok thanks again for checking out the baliwaves.com and if you haven’t got much happening tomorrow drop by for our afternoon Sunday Session.
Best Regards from Bali
